CHRLY TechOps team secures Squads at SL Benfica

Lisbon, April 8, 2024 – CHRLY, a corporate startup from Fujitsu Portugal fully dedicated to tech talent, was chosen to ensure the Squads of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, creating a multipurpose TechOps team that provides technological support at the Club’s operations level.

This technological partnership was born from the need for Sport Lisboa e Benfica to implement a model that would meet the complexity and speed that organizations currently face in terms of operations. With more than 20 vertical business areas – including retail, BTV, club museum, marketing, training schools, Casas do Benfica, financial management, events – each with applications, service roadmaps, products and distinct dynamics, it has become the need, together with a technological partner, to develop a hybrid model between traditional outsourcing and the simple hiring of on-premises resources. This connection was born between SL Benfica and CHRLY which, on a regular basis and following the Club’s different requests, creates TechOps teams, specifically designed to solve the various technological challenges that arise.

While in a traditional outsourcing model there is little capacity for change, in this Squads TechOps model, business priorities can change quickly, leaving CHRLY to identify the best talents to provide highly specialized teams. This partnership will allow SL Benfica to accelerate the execution of projects with the help of teams created by CHRLY.

According to Susana Soares, CHRLY managing director, “we are very motivated by this partnership with Sport Lisboa e Benfica, because we have the know-how and agility to, at all times, help companies in their process maturity in terms of technology. and knowledge. The CHRLY team has the best professionals to quickly respond to challenges posed in different areas, with strong technological specialization, in the areas of infrastructure, workplace, cybersecurity, automation and digital transformation of processes or GenAI.”

Alexandre Ferreira, Fujitsu Portugal managing director, states that “this partnership demonstrates our flexibility and ability to understand our clients’ business. Our startup CHRLY changed the rules of IT recruitment and has the best professionals in the skills most requested by companies today. We are able to quickly bring together and adapt these Squads on a regular basis, based on our customers’ ever-changing technology requirements.”

For Paulo Martins, IT & Operations Director at Sport Lisboa e Benfica “this partnership with CHRLY allows us to work with a highly qualified multidisciplinary team, who knows our culture and way of being and working, and can be shaped in regular cycles with the TechLead, ensuring the maturity of processes at the technological level of operations.”
